Calypso Science has collaborated with Oceanum to produce a high-resolution tidal hydrodynamics solution at an unprecedented global scale.
We have implemented nearly one thousand regional models to downscale the tidal currents and elevations for the world's coastlines and continental shelves - at an impressive 400 m resolution. At selected areas, we go even further to resolve the dynamics to 100 m scales, while for the deep ocean regions beyond the shelf we relax to 4 km resolution.
The models have been validated against observations, and can be used with confidence for applications such as nearshore boundary conditions, site metocean evaluations, navigation studies and drift predictions. Our tidal predictions power the PredictWind recreational product suite, and we also provide API access to commercial and industrial applications under a B2B offering.
